Plans, security & account

Are my photos really safe?
Yes. Your data is hosted on secure servers located in France. All communications with our platform are encrypted (TLS/SSL) and our infrastructure is protected according to security best practices (access control, regular updates, monitoring, infrastructure redundancy and backups). We also commit to never reselling your data to third parties.
Can I cancel my subscription at any time?
Yes, our subscriptions are commitment-free. You can cancel at any time from your account settings, in a single click. Your free 5 GB space remains available.
What happens if I exceed my storage quota?
We notify you by email. Your existing photos stay accessible, but you won't be able to add new ones until you free up space or move to a higher plan. No photo is ever deleted without your consent.
Can I change plan along the way?
Yes, at any time and in both directions. You can move up to a higher plan as your memories grow, or move back down if you need less space. The price is adjusted on a pro-rata basis.
Joomeo is becoming Photoweb Cloud — what happens to my Joomeo subscription?
On 15 July 2026, Joomeo becomes Photoweb Cloud. Your albums, your photos, your share links, your logins and your subscriptions stay the same.
Which payment methods are accepted?
Credit card (Visa, Mastercard) and PayPal. No payment method is required for the free 5 GB plan.

Features & usage

Can I protect the photos I share with loved ones?
Yes. You always keep control over your albums! You choose who accesses your photos and each person's permissions. Even public links, such as slideshows, can be password-protected if you wish!
Can I create a space that reflects me?
Yes. Your space can be organised your way, with albums by event, by child, by trip or by year, so you find your memories naturally.
What is the difference between private sharing and a public link?

Private sharing is ideal for family albums: you choose who can access the photos and what they can do.

A public link is better suited if you want to share an album or slideshow widely.

In every case, you stay in control of the visibility of your memories.

How do I easily add photos from my phone or computer?

On a computer, simply open your Photoweb Cloud space in your browser, then drag your photos and videos into the album of your choice. You can also install our Photoweb Cloud Transfer app to manage your transfers and automatic backups.

On mobile, we recommend installing our app. It's available for iOS and Android and offers the same features.

Is it suitable if I have lots of travel, wedding or family photos?

Yes. Photoweb Cloud is designed for large collections of memories: everyday photos, trips, weddings, birthdays, videos and albums to share.

You can organise your media library gradually, without having to sort everything perfectly from the start.

Image hosting & sharing

What is an image host?
An image host is a provider that offers its users disk space on an online server. Users can upload their photos, videos and sometimes other types of files. Once uploaded, the files can be shared or published easily via a simple link. The notion of hosting implies that the file can be published or shared, publicly in most cases — that's what sets it apart from simple online photo storage.
Is hosting an image the same as backing up a file online?
No. A photo host lets you publish images online by optimising the file size so it displays quickly in the browser. Some free hosts apply processing that compresses or crops your files to the point of making them unusable outside the platform. Photoweb Cloud always preserves your original files: only the previews that are served are optimised.

Photoweb Cloud Transfer (desktop app)

Do I have to install Photoweb Cloud Transfer?
No, installing it is not required. Import and download functions are available directly from your Cloud space in the browser. The app does become essential for downloads over 1 GB in a single transfer, as well as for automatic folder backup.
Is the app free?
Yes, completely. Photoweb Cloud Transfer is included in every plan, including the free 5 GB plan. No extra charge, ever.
Does the app use a lot of resources?
No. It's designed to stay quietly in the background, without slowing your computer. You can also limit the bandwidth used for transfers, so you don't saturate your internet connection.
Are my photos really secure during transfer?
Yes. All transfers between your computer and our servers are encrypted. Your photos are kept in France, on certified infrastructure, never analysed or resold.
What happens to Joomeo Transfer for existing subscribers?
Joomeo Transfer keeps working and will gradually be updated to Photoweb Cloud Transfer. No action is required on your part: your logins, watched folders and preferences are preserved.
